Mr. Land was born in Bibb County,the Son of A.T. Land,Sr. and Christine Willis Land.He was a Graduate of the University of Georgia,where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Mr. Land was a of the Four County Exchange Club,the Middle Georgia College Foundation,the Satilla River Club,the Idle Hour Golf and Country Club,and was a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church.Mr. Land was Chairman of the Board of the Four County Bank.
Survivors include his wife;Peggy Harrell Land.Four Daughters; Leesa L.(Tom)Ray,Joy L.(Jack)Knight,Georgia Anne L.(Tom)Herrington,and Lauire L.(Andy)Kitchens.Eight Grandchildren.
