Theora Baker and friends

Mrs. Baker's family would like to make you aware that we have moved our Mom to Matlock Place Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility. Mother fell on the morning of June 14 resulting in two fractures to her pelvic bone and a fracture in her spine. The EKG performed at AMH showed elevated heart enzymes, which probably caused a light heart attack, resulting in the falls. It is our hope that Mother would be able to return to Bethesda Gardens at some time in the future.

We will be moving Mother's belongings and furniture out of her room before or on June 30, 2013.

We would like to extend to the caregivers and administration at Bethesda Gardens our heartfelt thanks for the care that Mother has received in the last two years and then her previous stay also. She was always treated with love and respect. She felt that Bethesda Gardens was her home, and after living independently for two years after her initial stay, she asked to return to Bethesda Gardens when she could not longer live the independent life. We think that speaks well of how she felt about all of you at Bethesda.

We would also like to give special recognition and expressions of gratitude to Jennifer Zaffke and the caregiver, Krystal, who were so helpful and compassionate during the ordeal resulting from the fall. Without the help and recommendations of these two Bethesda employees, we probably would not have made the decisions that were necessary. They are and have been angels of mercy. Thank you so very much for being Jesus to us during this very difficult time.
