    (1829 - 1892)

  • Notes
    • He worked for a while as a surveyor in the area that is now
Fort Worth, Texas but because of Indian harrassment of his
family while he was gone he moved to Chatfield and opened a dry
goods store. While Lucien was in Shreveport buying goods, a
competitor, who had a store a couple of miles down the Trinity
River, burned down Lucien's store. The arsonist was lynched
and Lucien moved to Van Zandt County, where he was a teacher
and merchant and lived in Wills Point. He died of neck cancer.
