  	Walter Leland Pickell Jr., formerly of McDaniel Avenue, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000. Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Walter Leland and Belle Douglas Mahon Pickell. He was a retired professional engineer and former owner of Pickell and Pickle Engineers. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he was a deacon and member of the men's Sunday school class. Also a Shriner and past president of Greenville Little Theatre. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Miriam Webb Pickell; a daughter, Patricia P. Burns of Greenville; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne P. Glenn; one brother; and five sisters. Graveside services will be today, Oct. 16, at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Dr. Baxter Wynn officiating. The family is at the home of Patricia Bruns, at 131 Windfield Road, Greenville.
