  	Forrest Hill, 47, owner and operator of the Forrest Hill Golf Course, died yesterday at the United States Veterans Hospital. A veteran of World War I, he had been a major in the army until six years ago when he was retired because of ill health. Hill who lived at 146 South Candler Street had been active in American Legion work as a member of the Harold Bird Chapter No. 66 until illness forced him to give up many activities. He was interested in golf and played until illness restricted his activities. He kept up his interest in the game through associations at the club and with others in sports circles. While in the Army, Hill graduated from the infantry school at Fort Benning and from the tank school at Fort Meade. He was a member of the Decatur Presbyterian church. He is survived by his wife, Caroline McKinney Hill, a daughter, Louise Hill, mother, Mrs. Thomas P. Hill, two brothers, Redmond Hill and Norman Hill of Cleveland, Ohio and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Sullivan of Decatur and Mrs. Arthur Sambrook of Chicago.
