  Mae was the youngest child of Stephen F. Austin Clark and Arpa Jane Jackson Clark. She married Ernest E Adamson. They lived in Mexia, Texas and had no children. After Ernest, who owned a mercantile store, was killed in an accident, Aunt Mae took in any needy relatives, sharing her life and home generously.
